I ran out of Hackberry so I made a segmented ring out of some plain hackberry and then inserted a piece of spalted hackberry in the middle and made the handle out of that.  I glued the segments with a thin epoxy colored black.  It bled into the hackberry end grain.  I don't like it but my coworkers and everyone I showed it to do like it.

Sure gives it a different look that from just one peice. I like the looks of it.
