Hi all,
A few weeks ago, I posted a problem here that I was having with my Brand New DELTA 14 inch band saw. It would stall out if I tried to cut anything over 1" thick. I just finished trying a fix suggested on this forum which included streching bunji cords from the motor to the frame to keep the belt from slipping. IT WORKED!!! I just ran a 3 inch thick piece of walnut through it as fast as I wanted to go, and it cut like butter. Even with the cheap blade that came with the saw! I don't like having to "rig" anything to make it work, but I'm happy it's usable now.
I want to thank everybody that helped me with this problem. I hope you all realize how valuable you all are.
Thanks,
Jim
