Here comes gift giving season. My wife and a couple of my kids have already asked me what I want for Christmas. So now I am ruminating as to what I might put on my list in the under $100 and under $50 range. So far all I can think of is the MCLS "joint maker 3 piece router bit set" at $80, and the Rockler "bench cookies" at 4 for $11.99. If gift giving is part of your tradition, what are you thinking about putting on your list?

LOML has finally gotten the hint. This year she simply asked for my marked-up copy of the Lee Valley catalog!

I already know I'm not going to get what I want. I want the leaders of this country to become honest and actually do something good for this country. Of course there's not a chance.

I would like:
Some nice push sticks and things for safety for my tools.
A nice "folder" for my card scrapers (cabinet scraper case).
Some new card scrapers would be nice also.
A new A2 blade for my spokeshave.
Other than that - not much. Some router bits would be nice - say a nice carbide spiral upcut bit.

I could use a (not necessarily) new truck for runs to the lumber yard. I would, of course, like it to be fully equipped.
I got a picture of my ideal truck right here.
Yeah, this one will do just fine!

All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth (I can't believe no one said that yet). Really though, would any of us complain if we received clamps. But what I want is about a 2,000 sqft shop.

This is my method also. I make "wish lists" in Woodcraft, Heartville Tool, Lee Valley, etc. and she puts the info out to my family. I have to say I sneak in a few high dollar items once in awhile. Santa hasn't bit on them yet though.
