6x48 9" belt/disk combo sander enhancement projects

What are some of the 6x48 9" belt/disk combo sander enhancement DIY projects?

I am talking about mostly table upgrade and dust collection enhancement.

I bought a new HFT sander for $65 plus tax. It has a broken plastic cover which I fixed already.

It turns out to actually work quite well, except no dust port.

I bought a used one before, an old Craftsman, which I still have. The drums for the belt is supported only at the center so the sides of the drums are hollow. I found out that this design is not good. Plus the motor is mounted on the bottom and you cannot have a top only stand and leave the bottom for storage.

The HFT sander has a motor, class E, that is mounted onto the cast iron base. The drums are supported at both ends with ball bearing. This seems deceptively good.

The HFT has a one hp motor, ball bearing TEFC.

The HFT belt is crummy and have to be upgraded.

Any well known DIY plan to enhance the table and DC  and other utility of this type of sander?
