Tools and Tool Buying

I have an opportunity to buy a 10" Delta 10" Bench Drill Press (Model 11-980), Mortising Kit (model 17-924), and 25pc Sanding Drum Kit (model 17-940) - never used sanding kit .   He is only asking $125.  this size drill press will meet my needs as far as i can tell.   Is this a good deal and a good drill press?

Well, since no one would talk to me in here i decided to take the leao and go buy the drill press.  I get it tomorrow so hope i made a good choice............................on my own.   I guess this is my first post in here, maybe i picked the wrong web site and forum to use.

Don't get discouraged. Everyone here is great. This forum recently, within the last few days, changed over to a new software. Most everyone here is relearning the basics of operating on this new software. This IS a great place for all types of woodworking and shop questions. Best magazine on the market as well. NO I don't work for them. I have just learned a great deal here. So stick around, I know your going to like it if your addicted to woodworking, tools, and your shop. I will also apologize for the lack of response and also welcome you to wood forums.

By the way you got an excellent deal on the press if it is in good shape. The mortising attachment alone is over $100 new.

If the drill press will handle what you want, then you made a good deal.

Thanks for the reply.  I have read this magazine forever and would have to agree with you there.  I was getting discourage that no replies were coming.  thanks again,  I pick up the saw tomorrow so I will post results once I get it home.   The mortise set and the drum sander set are brand new, so I figured I could not go wrong.
