My son has the swine flu, so I'm home watching him today.  Iggy's breathing a sigh of relief, because he knows the swine flu can't jump species to other primates.  Good monkey.  Now, go get the lad some chicken soup.

While Iggy plays nursemaid, he had enough time to slip me the following note...

The top five reasons you should use dust collection:

  1. Dust in the Wind - great song.  Dust in your lungs - no so great for your health.
  2. Getting dust in your finish is absolutely no fun at all.  Get a better finish on your projects by keeping your workshop neat and dust free.
  3. People won't ask if you dyed your hair when they see your flowing locks covered in light-colored sawdust.
  4. Proper dust collection keeps debris out of your motor windings in table saws, band saws and other equipment. That will extend their lives, allowing you to save some cash over the long haul.
  5. By tracking less dust into your living space, you will keep your spouse happy and bring peace in your home.
