My Tongue Is Just Long Enough to Hang Me

I was looking at a job tonight and a family member of the potential client stopped by. I kind of know the family and the visitor as well. I recognized the lady but could not remember her name.

I said "Oh HI! I haven't seen you for a while. Oh and you're having another kid?"

"Nope."

This is not good when you are trying to sell a job.

 About half the message would have been alright, the first half, that is.   OUCH on the second half.  Did you have to "duck" after that part?

I was feeling a bit stressed because I was blocked in the room by individual that I offended. There was no other way out other than jumping out a second story window - that may have been a viable option had things gone really sour
