Many of you may already know me from my series of woodworking videos on YouTube and of course, WoodTube.
To butcher a quote I once read by someone somewhere, “Woodworking is a perfect hobby because it’s challenging enough to remain fresh, but not so complicated that it becomes frustrating.” At least that’s something how the quote struck me.
For me, as a hobbyist, the process is usually as enjoyable as the result. Nearly all the projects I have designed and built yielded nothing I really needed. Quite often it would be cheaper to simply buy these items. I fear the moment I begin building projects I need is the moment I will lose interest in the craft and take up scrap booking.
As I post my videos to this blog, I’ll gradually reveal more about myself and my wood philosophy. My intention is to create a small space amongst the din of the interweb that is concise, useful, readable, amusing, and not too self-indulgent.
And yes, I am House’s body double.
