Re: Matt....

ynoT -

I'm using IE 8.0 and have no problem with seeing full width (unless I zoom to 135% or more).  When I zoom to 90% I loose the (L - R) scroll bar completely.  Increasing the screen resolution on your computer may fix the problem?

Re: Matt....

Sorry Dave, but I don't see where you have offered an alternative suggestion.

My IE settings are fine and I cruze the NET with no problems at all. Regardless which browser I use, IE 6 or Firefox 3.5.3.

Didn't mean to disturb the dust in the Village. I'll sit by the side of the road and watch traffic go by.

Next update will reveal where we stand. I'm done.

Re: Matt....

While we strive here at WOODMagazine.com to make our site accessible for all the major internet browsers, IE 6 in particular is a bit of a troublemaker.

As far as I'm able to discern, all major concerns about the forums after one week relate to IE 6. Visitors using other browsers report that they are not seeing the problems that IE 6 users are seeing. This includes the cutting off of the left-hand side and the typing in the reply box noted here.

IE 6 is an older browser, and makes for more difficult development as it does not handle standard current Web technology. We are working to resolve these problems for all users, including IE 6 users.

That said, I recommend considering an upgrade to Firefox (latest version, which is 3.5). Alternatively, I recommend upgrading from IE 6 to IE 7 or 8.

Re: Matt....

Thanks for the reply, Matt.

As I said earlier, I use both browsers while searching web. Here, for Wood forums, I am using Firefox. Yes, the latest version.

The few times I did use IE 6 I didn't experience any of the problems other folks claimed to have. Go figure!!

Reckon we should call Gates and see what he has to say... LOL

I think we should just close this dialog and wait until new fix has been applied. I'm sure lots of things will be 'cleared' up.
