Can you explain ""Graze in every man's field, but always give your own milk."
I think I got it for the most part, but my thick head just can't seem to fully comprehend this saying or verse.
Thanks man.

The quote is from J. Vernon McGee who was pastor and did a radio bible teaching program for many years before he died called "Through the Bible". Of all the different Bible commentaries I have used, his is my favorite.
Anyhow, the quote "Graze in every man's field, but always give your own milk" means that you take all the information that you get but don't rely on it at face value. You need to process it, research it and digest it through your own life, circumstances and then come to your own conclusion. Just like a cow can graze in many different fields but still it processes it by chewing the cud taking out all the nutrients and passing along the waste and then make it's own milk. From the Christian perspective you hear lots of different people teaching what they believe and their interpretation of various things. We need to research and verifiy what is being taught, meditate on it, and then apply it to our lives.
So hopefully that makes it clear for you "Mr Apprentice".

Allen,
I agree with you about J. Vernon McGee. I really like his commentaries.
I am pretty simple and he puts it so I can understand it.
