You nailed it Tony, the wife and I saw a family dining out once, mom & dad were on their devices pretty much the whole meal and the very young kids just looked abandoned. People don't know what's important today.
Don't ask advice on federal firearms law from people on the internet unless you like jail food.

And the scarier part is they are most likely texting the person next to them.
But for people who are still working, the smartphone is pretty much indispensable. Companies are working so lean that everyone has to multi-task throughout the day. When I go to a meeting that last 5 to 6 hours, I have to answer emails or direct people for different projects right from the meeting. Pretty common.

Tony the only time I object to people's use of those contraptions are when they are behind a steering wheel.....
They are certainly welcome to take their own lives but that is not usually the case.
We dropped our land line and wife got me a cheap trac phone. This was about three weeks ago and I haven't turned it

I don't even have one. I use to.
But even back than, I never used it while driving.
Even if I needed to find info where to go. I always parked the car and than talked.
Playing golf with my Son was some of the most wonderful times we spent.
But I got so agrevated when he would use the device to text, or retreive messages.
It started to take away from the game it self.... sigh
At least he had it on silent mode.
The part that gets me the most is when people talk about private things and let the public know what's it about !!!

Nothing against technology, George.
I understand how vital it is today.
But listening to someone's private conversation.... have they got no shame?!
Have our life's become an open book?!

Yes, Hank, I see it all the time.
I was at Wendy's the other day and woman was yapping with her X, I guess, because she had a mean look on her face, was raising her voice, etc. And her daughter was sitting there, listening.

Whatever happened to that thing...what's it called...Oh ya "conversation"!
looks like if you went out on a date you'd be going out by yourself...
