A trillion here, a trillion there,..

...pretty soon it adds up.

First some facts.  A dollar bill is .0043 inches thick, 6.160 inches long, 2.61 inches wide, and weighs 1 gram(1); the distance from New York to San Francisco is 2,905 miles(1); the average distance to the moon is 238,857 miles(1); the circumference of the earth at the equator is 24,903 miles(1);  the Queen Mary weighs 48,923 tons(2); the average life expectancy in the United States is 78.1 years(2); the 2009 adjusted population of the US is 308,000,000(2); and there are 31,557,600 seconds in a single year.  Now, let's  see how these facts relate.

1 trillion dollar bills stacked together would reach 67,866 miles, or

from New York to San Francisco ... 23 times!

1 trillion dollar bills placed side by side would reach 41,193,181 miles, or

to the moon and back... 172 times!

1 trillion dollar bills placed end to end would reach 97,222,222 miles, or

would form a continuous stack around the earth... nearly 17 inches high!

1 trillion dollar bills would weigh 1,102,311 tons, or

                                the equivalent of... 22 1/2 Queen Mary's!

To spend 1 trillion dollars in a lifetime, one would have to spend, 24/7/365, from birth to death,                $405.74 per second!

1 Trillion dollars equates to

$3,248.65 for every person in the US!

1 trillion seconds ago

was more than 29,000 years before Christ!

1 trillion seconds from now

                will be the 33 millennium!

Seams like plenty of money to satisfy and un-burden every American, yes, including those rich ones who always complain they don't have enough.

Interesting find, Jess.
