MIND BENDER for 31 AUG. 14 "a learning tool"

Good Morning Friends,

Go under your home in the crawl space and place 2" rigid board around the foundation will help lower your heating bill.

Is this statement true or false?

Remember to keep your hands no closer to a spinning blade or bit than 6" for safety sake.

Respectfully,

I have seen it done on a slab to put 3" thick foam flat under the slab before the pour extending inward for 4 feet.  Are you meaning to lay it up against the foundation wall?

Good Morning Fellows,

You guys are 100% correct for it has been proven to be a money saver. Yes to the poster who asked if I meant putting the board against the foundation walls.

It is also beneficial to insert 6" batten insulation between the floor joists for this also adds to your dollar savings.

Thank you all for your support.

True, but it works much better on the exterior of the foundation.

Taking slobbery to new dimensions!
