It reminds me of an episode of "Tool Time" where Tim Taylor had some construction guys come in and show how they cooked on the jobsite. One guy used a propane torch to cook his grilled chees and another guy used a car dip stick to make ka-bobs by wraping them in in foil and cooking them on the running engine.

And to think I took a five day turning class from Kipp in Provo Utah about five years ago! He didn't turn a potato but he had us all over to his house for a tri-tip dinner!

Ive never turned a potato but I have been known to chuck a mixing beater in the dewalt drill and make a cake.
