For the lumber get yourself a roll or 2 of that shrink wrap and the hand dispenser and deprate your material into lenght and wrap them up for easy transport, the tools I would just build a couple of wooden boxes and throw your hand tools in them, the machinery move individually would be my plan of attack.

Shrink-wrap, available at most big box stores. Bundle into similar sizes and hire someone else to lift it ... NOT ME - my back already hurts.
While you're at it mark the end of EACH piece with size and specie if you know what it is; you'll thank me later.

Many, many thanks to everybody. I don't want to close this thread, I just don't want y'all to think I've disappeared. Now at least I've got some ideas! I like the shrink-wrap thing a lot....

Just an update--STRETCH WRAP ROCKS! Even found it at the local big box store for about the same price that shipping supply companies were asking. It's surprisingly strong, and makes nice bundles if you do a little planning. The 24-inch wide size really requires two people, though.
Thanks all!
