Highboy.jpg

This is my favorite piece of furniture that I built about 14 year ago. It's a bonnet top Highboy scaled down from the more traditional size. The reason it's my favorite is because it's my first "real piece of furniture". prior to  this piece I had only built cabinets and a couple of not so great coffee tables. I learned so much on this project but the most important thing I learned is; Don't be afraid to try projects that you think are beyond your skill level because you may just surprise  yourself as I did on this one.

Business Card BoxMay favorite project is usually the last one that I've completed.  Like this Bubinga/Curly Maple business card box.

Hello W&T,

That chest deserved a kudos from me as I think you out done your self on this one.

Remember to keep your hands no closer to a spinning blade or bit than 6" for safety sake.

IMG_8059 Large Web view.jpgBunk beds made from Wood plans, for my two grandsons. Only changes were I used slats instead of plywood panels, and I made the rails a few inches longer. The little guy on the bottom is already off the growth chart for his age. They are also the reason this is my favorite project.     Wally

debbies mom Jbox 006bitmap.jpgI made this jewelry box for a friends mother. The wood is pine, aspen, and rosewood. I made the hinges that pull the tray up and in as the lid is raised or lowered. The flowers are done with the scrollsaw and then put back in afterwards. I am not very good with the camera so the shots don't do the box justice.

Thanks for looking.

This is a bird feeder I gave to my sister a few years back. It's over 2 feet tall, hexagon shaped with a hand hammered and soldered copper roof. There are over 750 individual pieces of wood in this project.

Re: Show us your favorite woodworking project

Although I built these two tables six or seven years ago, I still think they represent the closest I've ever come to being 'happy' with anything.  I'm 'satisfied' with a lot of things, but that's not the same.
