Shop Storage - Magazines

I will be building the "super-flexible shop storage", page 85, from the November 2003 issue.  I would like to build a cabinet for all of my magazine issues (#5-current).  Does anyone have any suggestions on cabinet size, best material, etc.?

Thanks.

How about building holders like these links then basically make shelves to hold them, the fourth link is for a simple bookcase which you may have to adjust to hold the binders. All these links are from WOOD magazine so you can look them up using the last link which is a Searchable Index.

Re: Shop Storage - Magazines

I took some old filing cabinets that I did not use anymore and cut the bottoms off of the hanging folders. then they will handle two magazines and hang your magazines in the drawers in order of publications. If you want to look up something , simply do a search on the wood site which will tell you the year, issue # and page then go to your file cabinet and find it fast. I have 6 drawers of magazines, this way they never get tossed out..If you keep them in your shop they are out of the dust also..   I think this works great.  Merlin
