Ralphless Wood Magazine Quiz for 26 Aug. 14

Ralph is back in the hospital.  He may have over did it again as he was short his best employee Cecil.  Cecil took a turn in the hospital and I think he was coming out as Ralph was going in.  Unfortunately a team of St Bernards had to be sent up the mountain and bring Stick down to the hospital for possible stroke symptoms.  Best wishes for a speedy recovery to all of them.

For todays quiz a reader quieied:

Ihave been reading a lot about Purple heart turning brown.  Some say put it in the sun after machinging to bring the color back while some say the sun caused it to turn brown.  Will any finish technique prevent it from browning?

What was Wood's reply and what have you experienced when using Purpleheart?

I have tried to no avail.

Just let the nature take its course.

But it's good to know it stays purple for a long time.

Clear finish works best.

So now we've got to get someone to watch Cecil and Stick, so they can watch Ralph. This is getting out of hand.

All of you (or yu'ns, as appropriate), get well, now!

Get well guys, can't have all of you (y'all) down at once.
On the PH, it will be brown sooner or later. You can give it life support with sunshine, but it will be brown.. Best bet to keep the color is a hermetically sealed, pitch dark vault..may not be practical though.
