Monday is the day!

That I will be getting the new G0490 jointer!  It just so happens that I have work off that day, and I am lining up friends to come over that night to help with the lifting of the top, followed by a beer and wine shopwarming, as I just built this shop one year ago and this seems like the perfect time to bless it.  No glasses/bottles allowed on the cast iron, of course!

Cheerio!

Remember to take the time to read the manual fron to back, set the machine up properly, and move slowly up the learning curve, all without the hootch.

GREAT!  Putting it together is the easy part.  Getting all the cosmoline off is another.  Be sure to read and follow the online manual.  I've put photo's of mine over on the Tool Forum thread I started.

Right on Man!!!   Can you take some pics of the Christening of that sucker, you have some good freinds there.  But then who wouldnt trade a couple glasses of good wine for a little labor.  Good job.

Once the wine starts being downed, NO PLAYING with the tools! Alcohal and tools don't mix.
