Looking for some project lumber near the Erie, PA area.
I have a jointer & planer, etc.
4/4, 5/4 Maple, (hard or soft) is mainly what I'm after, but won't rule out Sycamore, Cherry, Walnut, etc, if it's reasonably priced. I have a 4x4 truck and 8" trailer so can pick up if it's not snowbound. I haven't seen much for sale in this area in some time.

I was born and raised in Erie, PA and lived there for 37 years. We now live in Iowa.
We have a five acre lot out on Cherry Street extension that is FULL of trees.. The lot is for sale!

Thanks guys for your replies, but near Erie, PA means a lot closer than Oneonta, NY, and unfortunately, I'd have to mortgage my house to afford five acres on Cherry St. Extension, haha, prime real estate to say the least. Although that would be awesome to have ! So, I will be talking to some amish saw mills down in the Saegertown, PA area, just south of me, about 1 hour drive, which is what I consider near me. This post has been up awhile now, and apparently the pickins in Erie are still lean. Seems I'm not the only one thats reluctant to part with lumber.
Thanks again !

40K and it's yours! All five acres are wooded. Some pretty big stuff too.
BTW.. I worked at Bucyrus-Erie for 18 years before moving to Iowa.
