Finishing and Refinishing

I was staining the piece parts for a drawer project and the stain penetrated into the miter joint.  I don't want to glue these up until I can get the stain out to assure a good strong glue joint.   What's the best way to do this?

What kind of stain and wood?  We'll need to know this before proceeding.

Red oak for the wood species.   Sherwin W. oil based tinted golden oak for stain.
