IMAGE004.JPGHey Everyone!

This being my first blog on woodmagazine.com I figured I'd introduce myself to everyone. My Name is Denis Rezendes and I am 16 years old. I have been woodworking for about 2 years now and have a good array of projects under my belt. In this blog I'm hoping to show you how I go about woodworking. My way of woodworking Is based off of many different things such th_HPIM1826.jpgas Online research, woodworker friends, books, TV shows, and experience in the shop. Its a good mix as I want to provide correct information to everyone that views my blog and hopefully show you something new every time I post. One thing that I do differently from most blogs though is that I focus a lot on the finish. That is one of the areas where I am able to teach most woodworkers as I will show you on the project which I am working on now. Its a table out of Peruvian walnut with a finish that seems difficult but once you know what you're doing it isn't at all.

So I have also posted pictures of some of the projects that I have made all around this blog. As I said currently I am working on a table out of Peruvian walnut and I just finished a serpentine bow front desk out of quartersawn ribboned Sapele. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of that in its completed form yet but I will get them up as soon as possible.th_HPIM1415.jpg

Hopefully I will get my first real blog post up tomorrow. My plan is to jump right into things head on and show you what I have going on in my shop. No specific order to things just different techniques. Also I will get some videos up soon. Hopefully I will also be able to get some better known woodworkers for interviews as well as guest appearances in my show. That being said hopefully I will get my first real post up tomorrow and I hope you all enjoy it!!
