WOOD Online Forum Guidelines

[ Edited ]

Overview

It is the intent of the forums at WOOD Online to provide an enjoyable, educational community for all woodworkers to post woodworking-related questions, reply to posted questions, or to simply browse what other woodworkers are discussing.

  • The first post of each thread must contain a woodworking-related question. The first post of a thread MAY NOT be used to advertise or promote a product, company, internet site, sale, individual, or service. If you wish to advertise your product or internet site, please contact Ryan Interland (ryan.interland@meredith.com) for rates. Forum posts, classified ads, or personal pages that advertise or promote one of the items listed above will be removed. We realize this policy is not perfect, but it does allow us to keep our site free of promotional material. For the non-commerical selling of personal woodworking tools, supplies, or other shop-related items, we invite you to use the Free Classifieds forum.

  • Keep it clean. Please do not place any material on our forums or site that could be considered offensive, indecent, abusive, hateful, harassing, libelous, unlawful, or in poor taste. Do not use profanity. Our audience tends to be family-oriented and can include young adults and school age children in search of woodworking knowledge.

  • We have the right, but not the obligation, to remove, edit, or relocate any content that we feel violates the standards of our site. Because of the real-time nature of our forums, it is not always possible for us to remove offensive material immediately.

  • If you have a problem or concern with an individual, company, or manufacturer, please contact that party privately. Do not use the forums for airing personal grievances. If you have a concern with forum administration, do not use the forums for such discussions. Direct those to Managing Editor Marlen Kemmet (marlen.kemmet@meredith.com) or main forum host Matt Seiler (mswoodcraft@comcast.net).

  • Posts violating any of the above policies can be removed without notice.

Re: WOOD Online Forum Guidelines

Greetings:  I am a new member and would like to ask a question about a project I am presently doing.  Where and how do I ask questions?   Thanks,  Bob in Virginia

Re: WOOD Online Forum Guidelines

Why, when I put pix and writing in my post does it move all around from where it was when i wrote it.  I just did a large post in GW "treasure chest w/ pix & jigs" but the paragraphs moved from being next to the pics.  It wasn't that way before I posted. Also after doing a preview, how do you go back to edit without posting first?
